What is a suspicious contact and how do I report one?
A suspicious contact is usually defined as:
- Efforts by any individual, regardless of nationality, to obtain illegal or unauthorized access to sensitive or classified information or to compromise a security-cleared employee;
- Contacts by security-cleared employees with known or suspected intelligence officers from any country; or
- Any contact which suggests a security-cleared employee may be the target of an attempted exploitation by the intelligence services of another country.
Whilst a security-cleared individual may be a more valuable target, anyone may be contacted within Penske in order for the suspicious actor to gain valuable information about Penske, our products, our customers, or our services.
If you have been contacted by someone who you think was suspicious and possibly asking unusual questions, you can report it using the
Report a Suspicious Contact form.
